I am delighted to have been appointed Headteacher of Chessington Community College. There is such potential here in all the young people I have seen and I am energised by the possibilities of this new chapter for the College.
Year 7 history students have been exploring life in medieval England. They was a particular focus on how William the Conqueror controlled England after he became king in 1066 and how he used Motte and Bailey castles to assert his authority. Secretary of State for Education Nicky Morgan, who grew up in Surbiton, said: “Chessington Community College is an example of the progress that can be made with inspirational leadership and excellent teaching. In the last eight months the College has improved its exam results and achieved a “Good” OFSTED rating. In February I announced investment of nearly £4.5 million for extra school places in Kingston. It was a pleasure to meet some of the staff and pupils”.

Chessington Community College was delighted to host a visit from the Secretary of State for Education Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan. The Education Secretary came to us as an example of a significantly improved school.
