Year 11 Media Studies students spent a day at the British Film Institute on Wednesday 22 February. It was part of a study day in preparation for their exam in May. Two of our students took the mic and answered questions on Blumler and Katz’s Uses and Gratification Theory to a packed auditorium of more than 400. Well done, guys! I was SO proud!
Interestingly as we were leaving the BBC were setting up cameras to interview US director Martin Scorsese and the paparazzi were starting to gather. Shame we couldn’t stay and watch!
